Beach Day Essentials

Ah, the beach! There's nothing quite like the feel of sand between your toes and the sound of waves crashing against the shore. But before you hit the beach, you need to make sure you've packed everything you need to make your day as fun and comfortable as possible. So, let's go over what to pack and not forget for a day at the beach!

First things first, you need a beach bag. This should be big enough to fit all your essentials but not so big that you can't carry it. Make sure it has a zipper or a drawstring to keep your things secure.

Next up, sunscreen! I cannot stress this enough - do not forget your sunscreen. You do not want to end up looking like a lobster at the end of the day. Make sure you choose a high SPF and reapply every few hours.

Water, water, water! You may be surrounded by water, but that doesn't mean you should forget to bring your own. Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. And if you want to keep it cold, freeze it overnight and it'll stay cold for hours.

Sunglasses are a must. Not only will they protect your eyes from the sun, but they'll also make you look cool. Don't forget a case for them so they don't get scratched in your bag.

A towel is essential for drying off after a swim, but it's also great for laying on and soaking up the sun. Bring a couple of towels if you're going with friends, so everyone has their own.

Snacks! You'll want to bring something to munch on throughout the day. Fresh fruit, sandwiches, chips, and dips are all great options. Don't forget to bring a cooler or insulated bag to keep everything fresh.

A hat is another great way to protect your face from the sun. Plus, it'll keep your head cool and stylish. Make sure you choose a hat that's easy to pack in your bag.

Don't forget your phone or camera to capture all the fun moments of the day. But be careful with them around water - a waterproof case or bag can save you from a disaster.

Last but not least, bring some entertainment. A book, a frisbee, or a deck of cards can provide hours of fun in between swims.

BONUS BEACH DAY ESSENTIAL ITEM:  Beach powder AKA Cornstarch!  This stuff is magic and will absorb all the moisture from the sand off you and your family's bodies and beach gear so you don't track any of that sand in your car!!  Just sprinkle on and give it a little brush off and you will be sand free!
